Klaus Iohannis welcomes the release of the EU budget and the economic recovery fund

President Klaus Iohannis welcomed, on Twitter, the unlocking of the European Union budget and the post-Covid reconstruction fund. The Romanian president said that “Romania is ready to use these funds for reforms and investments in key sectors, for the benefit of all Romanians.”

“Important agreement today to unlock the future European Union budget and economic recovery package. Romania is ready to use these funds for reforms and investments in key sectors, for the benefit of all Romanians,” Klaus Iohannis wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, the President of the European Council announced that an agreement had been reached on the publication of the Multiannual Financial Framework and the Reconstruction Fund.

“We have an agreement for the multi-year financial framework and the reconstruction package. Now we can begin to implement and rebuild our economies. The historic reconstruction package will drive the digital transition and the green transition,” wrote Charles Michel on Twitter.
