Nicolae Ciuca began the interim report to bring order to the government, that is, requesting the resignations of several liberals close to Ludovic Orban. One of the first people to comply was Antonel Tănase, the SGG general secretary.
Immediately after his resignation, Antonel Tănase told the former SGG team not to allow anyone to enter the office until we make new decisions on their behalf. In fact, Nicolae Ciucă upset the NLP leaders for the way he handled the interim start, which led to the internal revolt, given that he was seen as one of Klaus Iohannis’s favorites to be proposed prime minister.
However, the Liberal leadership overwhelmingly voted for Florin Cîţu’s choice as prime minister. In fact, the leadership of the PNL today begins formal negotiations with the other political forces in Parliament.
