President Klaus Iohannis has a meeting with the proposed prime minister, Florin Cîțu, and with the leaders of the parliamentary parties that will form the future government coalition.

TO UPDATE: The meeting between the president and the leaders of the parties that will form the governing coalition ended. After consulting with the head of state, Ludovic Orban, Dan Barna, Dacian Cioloș and Kelemen Hunor will sit at the negotiating table for the formation of the Cîțu government.

According to some political sources, Ludovic Orban, Dan Barna, Dragoș Tudorache and Kelemen Hunor are in talks with the president before the official negotiations between the parties. The conversations started at 9 p.m.

The discussion with the president also takes place before he leaves the country for two days. Klaus Iohannis participates Thursday and Friday at the meeting of the European Council in Brussels.

The NLP leadership validated, on Wednesday night, Florin Cîțu’s proposal for the post of prime minister.
