CFR Călători proposed this Wednesday to the Transport Ministry to approve the reduction of tickets on the Gara de Nord-Otopeni Airport route from 8.5 to 5 lei, announces Mediafax.

Travelers will arrive by train from North Station to Otopeni Airport in 20 minutes.

The company announced that it will operate 42 InterRegio trains on the new route Bucharest North Station – Henri Coandă International Airport in Otopeni (AIHCB). Trains will circulate on this route from December 13, 2020, that is, on Saturday night, with the entry into force of the new 2020-2021 train plan.

According to CFR, passenger transport services from Gara de Nord to the airport and vice versa will be available through the introduction of cadence trains, with an interval of 40 minutes (24h / 24h). The journey from Bucharest North Train Station and arrival at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport will take approximately 20-25 minutes.

CFR Infrastructure announced on Wednesday that 72 trains will run between Gara de Nord and Otopeni Airport, operated by CFR Călători, Regio Călători and Transferoviar Călători.
