On Wednesday, December 9, when 7,365 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the country, Bucharest registered the highest number of illnesses: 1,946, an identical figure to Tuesday.

Thus, the coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is increasing in Bucharest – 6.77. The highest value of this coefficient is in Constance – 7.09. In Ilfov, the coefficient is 6.14, the previous day being 7.32.

  • Brasov – 341
  • Iasi – 328
  • Ilfov – 322
  • Timiş – 306.

As of December 9, 532,040 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) had been confirmed in Romania. 425,816 patients were declared cured.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 7,365 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

12,821 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in Romania since the start of the pandemic.
