[ad_1]

AUR, the new party on the Romanian political scene, was preferred by Romanians until the age of 30. At least that follows from an investigation by CURS-Avantgarde, conducted on the basis of the electoral poll on Election Day.

The data confirms that USR PLUS also has young and educated supporters, while PSD relies mainly on older voters with less education.

Men voted slightly more than women and, of them, almost the same number voted for the PNL and the PSD, around 30%, both for the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Women, on the other hand, voted a little more with the PSD, both for the Chamber of Deputies and for the Senate.

On the other hand, fewer women than men were attracted to GOLD.

But let’s see how voters divided their parties depending on the age. The youngest, ages 18-30, were more likely to be attracted to USR Plus, just over 30% in both rooms. It was closely followed by NLP, chosen by about 28% of young people. The PSD was voted in by 11% of those aged 18-30 and surprisingly the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) attracted 8% of the youth. Basically, they are also the most numerous voters of the new party in Parliament.

In the 31-60 age category, the majority voted NLP and then PSD and USR Plus.

While in the 61+ category, more than half of the voters voted for PSD. Only 2% of this category voted with GOLD, confirming that the newly formed party was preferred by young people.

Regarding studies, those with less than high school voted higher in PSD, those with secondary and post-secondary education preferred NLP, and those with college chose USR Plus. It should be noted that AUR had significantly equal percentages in each of the three categories, slightly lower in those with university studies.

About the environment voters come fromWe noticed that the townspeople preferred the NLP and the PSD equally, while the voters of the towns voted more with the PSD. It should be noted that here also GOLD has substantially equal percentages.

The research was carried out by the CURS-Avangarde institute based on the exit poll study carried out at 9:00 p.m., that is, at the close of the polls on election day.
