It was the lawyer of the Archbishop of Tomis, His Eminence Theodosius, who sued the Constanța authorities to lift the restrictions. “It is a right that cannot be restricted in any way, in any situation. Therefore, even if he had stopped us, we would take it in the field and arrive at Saint Andrew,” said the lawyer, who addressed the service officiated by His Eminence Teodosio in the Cave of San Andrés When a journalist commented that it was a pandemic, the lawyer said, indignant: “There is no such thing! Go to Tataru to tell you why he did not declare an epidemic on Romanian territory. (…) It’s all a masquerade. “
Șosoancă also drew attention through a speech held in Iasi against the measures taken by the authorities that imposed restrictions on the occasion of the pilgrimage to St. Parascheva: “Who is Iohannis to tell us, the people on whom he built his power, for Are we not going to Iași, to Sfânta Parascheva? What is the AUR political program like?
AUR assumes values such as family, homeland, faith, freedom and counts among its active followers neo-legionary organizations such as the Orthodox Brotherhood of Saint Great Martyr George the Bearer of Victory, led by Dan Ciprian Grăjdeanu.
AUR representatives staged anti-mask protests in the fall, while challenging other measures taken by the government during the COVID-19 crisis.
In the political program published on the official website, AUR claims to be “the result of the unification of the Romanian forces that seek to serve the interests of the Romanian people and come to legislate and govern for these interests.”
- AUR affirms that the sovereignty of the Romanian state is violated and attacked by the current political forces that try to impose “forms of internal or external federalization”.
- “The AU R doctrine is based on four pillars: family, country, faith, freedom.
- The four pillars on which the GOLD doctrine rests give a precise outline of our position. We are a conservative party. Externally, we are a party that wants a Europe of nations, not a federal superstate with a single capital, a single government and a single parliament. A federal socialist empire is a utopia that the GOLD doctrine cannot share. We do not believe in the United States of Europe and we will programmatically oppose this trend of harmful hegemony. We are clearly against the colonization of Europe with foreign populations. In this sense, the GOLD doctrine has many points in common with the Declaration of the Conservative Intellectuals of Paris of 2018.
- Family it is the basic cell of any viable society. Therefore, it is vital that society encourages the formation of the family, supports and defends the family. The GOLD doctrine considers that gender ideology is a theoretical aberration that descends from the current profession of neo-Marxist activists. (…) Marriage can have as its primary formula only the couple formed by a man and a woman. Any other variant of the union of the sexes is not related to the true meaning of this formula.
- Homeland it is the father’s country, if we listen to the etymology of the word, while the mother tongue is the language spoken by the mother (…). In the case of Romania, the homeland is a geographical entity that serves as the initial home, but a home from which today the exodus of Romanians gave rise to such a large diaspora that it would be impious to limit the nation to the natives left on the other side of the borders.
- Faith it is, theologically speaking, one of the three cardinal Christian virtues, only here we use it figuratively, as a symbol of everything the Christian religion means. When we say faith, we implicitly say church, tradition, and nation. In the GOLD conception, atheism is a wandering that arises from the arrogance of those who imagine that an anthropocentric vision of the universe is superior to a theocentric one “.
