The GOLD party is clearly the surprise of these parliamentary elections: it scored high in the Diaspora, Transylvania and Moldova. The big question of the moment is how this party managed to reach 4th place as representation in Parliament, although, according to sociologists, it only appeared two months ago in national polls with a percentage of 3%.
“The first time AUR appeared with a significant percentage was two months ago when it had around 3% in a national survey.
There was a spiral of silence, people did not admit a month ago that they would vote with GOLD. They had a very well targeted online campaign.
AUR broke a part of the PSD electorate in Moldova, in Transylvania it broke with the conservative electorate that votes with the PNL.
They played Moldova, there is the party that was raised with the scandal in the Valea Uzului cemetery in Moldova, this can be seen now.
In Transylvania, they worked a lot in the old PRM organizations with the usual messages for that area, there is an anti-Hungarian public instead of a pro-Hungarian public, and the obtained sister confirms it.
In the Republic of Moldova, the message of union with Romania brought results, so AUR broke with the results obtained by Traian Băsescu.
The diaspora is a big surprise, USR failed to get half the votes in the diaspora. AUR has destroyed the myth that USR is winning in the diaspora.
We can compare the GOLD model with the PP-DD model (People’s Party – Dan Diaconescu. No.), although it was aimed at a different audience than the GOLD.
AUR tried to reach the entire conservative public, even radical, which in the last year has continually offended, that public that supported the referendum for the family, ironic by the major parties – PNL and USR. The appearance of GOLD with this score is the response of the Romanian conservative public to RSU ”, sociologist Vladmir Ionaș, director of AVANGARDE, explained to Digi24.
