Another 8,072 people have been infected with coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Romania. The number of patients in serious condition and admitted to intensive care increases and reaches a new dramatic record.
To date, on December 5, in Romania, 508,345 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 399,207 patients were declared cured
After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 8,072 new cases of infected people with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Until today, 12,186 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection died.
Between 04.12.2020 (10:00) – 05.12.2020 (10:00) it was reported 134 deaths (79 men and 55 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța hospitals , Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui and Vrancea.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30-39 years, 3 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 14 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 33 deaths in the age category age 60-69 years, 45 deaths in the age group 70-79 years and 38 deaths in the category over 80 years.
All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.
In health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,472. Of these, 1,280 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, at the national level, 4,237,925 tests were processed. Of these, 32,441 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 20,672 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 11,679 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 4 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until December 5 have been reported.
In Romania, 44,941 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,979 people are in institutionalized isolation. Additionally, 79,642 people are in home quarantine and 88 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
