Romania coronavirus, balance December 5. Until Saturday, December 5, in Romania, 508,345 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) were confirmed.
According to Saturday’s assessment, there are 8,072 new cases of infected people, setting a new record for patients admitted to intensive care units in Romanian hospitals.
The balance on Friday, December 5 was 8,062 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 in 24 hours, what led to exceeding the threshold of 500,000 infected people.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 8,072 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of the patients who were already positive, 1,667 people were positively reconfirmed.

Between 04.12.2020 (10:00) – 05.12.2020 (10:00) 134 deaths were reported (79 men and 55 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Iași, Maramureiș, Meurei Săcea, Săcea, Săcea Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui and Vrancea.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30-39 years, 3 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 14 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 33 deaths in the age category age 60-69 years, 45 deaths in the age group 70-79 years and 38 deaths in the category over 80 years.
All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed as infected by the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 6 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 19 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 42 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 64 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 43 deaths in the category over 80 years.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,940. Of these, 1,275 are hospitalized in ATI.
Incidence of more than 7 per thousand in Constanța and Ilfov
On Friday, Constanza and Ilfov counties had an infection rate of more than 7 per 1,000 residents in the past two weeks.
According to GCS, the first place in the country in terms of the rate of contagion by the new coronavirus is still the county of Constanza with 7.04, down from the previous day when it was 7.15 per thousand inhabitants, followed by Ilfov county which it registered a decrease of at 7.12, as a day ago, at 7.01.
In Sibiu County, the infection rate is decreasing: 5.42, compared to 5.78 the day before; Cluj County decreased to 5.74, compared to 5.82 the day before, and in Bucharest the rate is 5.39 compared to 5.42 the day before.
In Brasov county, the infection rate is also decreasing: 5.19, compared to 5.38 on Thursday.
