Clotilde Armand, mayor of Sector 1, declared this Friday, during the City Council meeting, that she cannot order the payment of the bills to Romprest, which amount to 94 million lei, because they are not correctly written. The second reason is that the City Council does not have the necessary money. “Together, and I will involve the Local Council here, we must have a discussion with Romprest to restore the relationship to a just situation,” said Clotilde Armand. We remind you that for several days Romprest has not built uncontrolled landfills, because the City Council has not paid its bills.

“I am in a difficult situation because I cannot order payment of Romprest invoices if I know that the invoices are not written correctly. Even if I had the necessary economic funds, even if I had the money, even if I wanted to pay at least a small part of these bills so that they pay their employees, so that they continue to pay the landfills where the waste ends, I cannot use public money to pay some bills knowing that they are not prepared correctly ”, said Clotilde Armand.

He said the City Council still has unpaid bills to Romprest in the amount of 94 million lei, although the City has paid 189 million lei to the company since the beginning of the year. “The invoices paid to date are 189 million lei. You can compare this figure to what was paid in 2019: 196 million lei was paid to Romprest in 2019. Currently we are only at 189 million lei.” The invoices sent and not paid are 94 million lei The estimate of services until December 31 tells us that we can expect 41 million lei in total, if we take what was paid, what was sent and the estimate of services for end of the year is 323 million lei. In the budget and in all the amendments voted by the old administration, this huge budget is not provided, only 210 million lei is provided. of revenue that will be around one billion two hundred is a huge proportion, that is, a large part of our budget, if we maintain the current situation, it would go to Romprest. Mayor Clotilde Armand also announced that she will put a bill on the price of sanitation for economic agents in public debate.

“Garbage collection is a service between two and three times cheaper than garbage collection from uncontrolled landfills. What is currently seen in the streets of Sector 1 is not domestic waste (…), it is uncontrolled landfills. This situation is also due to the fact that Romprest has rates set unilaterally by them for economic agents, and these days I am going to put a project like you, the City Council, in public debate, that you have to set the price of the sanitation service for the economic agents, so that a fair price will probably be twice cheaper, it is my estimate, it is important that you establish this cost, because it is a service, in fact a delegate, a monopoly, and it is not normal for a service provider to have a service. monopoly to establish the costs of this service ”, said Clotilde Armand, at the City Council meeting.
