“Considering the evolution of the epidemiological situation in Romania as a result of the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the increasing number of diseases and the restrictions in the dynamics regarding the development of economic activities, foreseen in the decisions of the Government that prolong the alert, since the provisions of art. 24 of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, with subsequent modifications and completions, establishes the granting of social protection measures until December 31, 2020, since it is necessary to ensure social protection measures for employees, employers and other categories of professionals in accordance with the epidemiological situation, in the event that the state of alert extends after December 31, 2020 “

State of alert And in the text of the draft of the GEO the measures proposed are extended until June 30, 2020.

Emergency ordinance
“Art. I – (1) The compensation provided for in art. XI and art. XV of the Government Emergency Ordinance No. 30/2020 for the modification and completion of some normative acts, as well as for the establishment of some measures in the field of social protection in the context of the epidemiological situation determined by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, approved with modifications and completions by Law No. 59/2020, with subsequent terminations, is granted until the 30th of June 2021, for all areas of activity provided for by Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, with subsequent modifications and terminations in which the restrictions are regulated, according to the documents issued by the competent authorities ”.
