On the occasion of the parliamentary elections that will take place on December 6, the ProTv News team organized a series of interviews with several Romanian political leaders, including Marcel Ciolacu, president of the Social Democratic Party (PSD).
In an interview with journalist Cristian Leonte, the leader of the PSD was asked what are the proposals of the party you represent for the post of prime minister. He said that the Social Democrats currently have several options to choose from.
“We have several proposals, we have come out of that logic in which the president of the party must occupy all the positions. I am glad that we have done this and I believe that this approach is the correct one. There are several nominees, among which Sorin Grindeanu, Mihai Tudose and Vasile Dîncu. We need people with experience in government, people who have progressed“Ciolacu said.

With whom will the PSD form a majority in the future Parliament?
Asked who will form the majority in the future Parliament, if it will have the largest number of parliamentarians, Marcel Ciolacu avoided giving a clear answer, stating only that collaboration with the PNL is “excluded”.
The president of the PSD acknowledged that he is already in talks about it “With all the political leaders represented in Parliament.”
Marcel Ciolacu: “Let’s see which parties will enter Parliament. (…) The Romanians will decide which parties will enter and which will not. It is a polarization of the political struggle between the Social Democratic Party and the National Liberal Party. Certainly we will not form a government with the National Liberal Party. It is a decision already made within the party and that I will respect ”.
