President Klaus Iohannis will visit, on Thursday, after the CSAT meeting in which the national vaccination strategy will be approved, the center organized in Romexpo, where Romanians will be immunized against the Sars-Cov-2 virus.
According to the Presidential Administration, the visit is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., after the CSAT meeting, and at the end of the visit, the president will make statements to the press.
The CSAT meeting, chaired by President Klaus Iohannis, will take place at 3:00 pm, on a videoconferencing system, and the national vaccination strategy is on the agenda. It was developed by to the National Committee for the Coordination of vaccination activities against SARS-CoV-2, an inter-ministerial body directly dependent on the General Secretariat of Government and the coordination of the Prime Minister.
The document establishes the vision, principles and mode of action for the administration in Romania of anti-COVID-19 vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency and is based on both the analysis of the situation at national and European level of the spread of SARS -CoV-2, and analysis of the situation of severe cases and mortality generated by COVID-19, respectively.
