The Minister of Transport, Lucian Bode, announced that on Friday the reception of the completed works will take place on the railway that connects the Bucharest North Station with the Otopeni Airport. “Based on the last conversations I had with CFR Infrastructure, I can tell you that on Friday morning there will be a reception at the end of the works for everything that was done on the Gara de Nord-Otopeni railway line,” said Lucian Bode , Minister of Transport, at Radio Romania Actualitati, reports Mediafax.

On September 21, Klaus Iohannis, Ludovic Orban and Lucian Bode tested the train on the Gara de Nord – Henri Coandă International Airport route.

Transport Minister Lucian Bode said in September that the rail line could be put into operation on December 12, with the new trains running. He said that the distance between the North Station and the Airport will be covered in 15-17 minutes.

The railway line was supposed to be ready in June 2020 for the European Football Championship Euro 2020, but the deadline was postponed.
