Prime Minister Ludovic Orban said Romania is on a downward trend for Covid-19 diseases and guaranteed “100% that there will be no lockdown.

Prime Minister Ludovic Orban claims that Romania is on a downward trend in terms of new coronavirus diseases, saying that in recent days, in five out of seven, the number of people cured has exceeded the number of infected.

“It is true that fewer tests were done because there were rest days and not all the test centers were functional, but the test activity is resumed today under normal conditions and we will have relevant data on this in the coming days,” he says.

“We had a period of fairly rapid growth, at the end of October, beginning of November, after which there was a period of two weeks, two and a half weeks of plateau. For 8 days we have a downward trend and what is very important : in the last few days, in five out of seven, the number of cured has exceeded the number of infected ”, declared the prime minister on Wednesday night on România TV.

He explained that the downward trend is all the more pronounced the more closely the measures are followed.

“It is true that less was tested because there were rest days and not all the test centers worked, but the test activity resumes today under normal conditions and we will have relevant data on this in the coming days,” said the prime minister. .

“That doesn’t mean we let our guard down.”

It states that “there are clear signs of a reduction” in the number of cases, even in the face of a decrease in the number of new tests for COVID-19.

“This does not mean lowering our guard, this does not mean reducing the concentration in terms of compliance with protection measures, it is very important to respect these measures,” added Ludovic Orban.

Regarding the so-called closure, the prime minister said that this information was false and described it as a “campaign lie, in an attempt to reduce support for NLP.”

“I guarantee one hundred percent that there will be no blockade, Romania cannot afford such a thing, we cannot afford it from an economic point of view, from the point of view of the next period,” said the prime minister.

Ludovic Orban specified that at this Thursday’s meeting of the CNSU the reopening of the markets will be discussed, the measures that will allow those involved in the electoral process to move forward after the polls close and the update of the list of countries at risk of contagion.
