The leader of the Duduianu clan, Nicolae, died in the Mioveni Penitentiary Hospital, where he was hospitalized for almost a month for various ailments. Nicolae Duduianu died infected, and this was only at autopsy. For these reasons, an investigation was even opened to determine who he came into contact with and how it was possible not to know that he had COVID-19.
Representatives of the Mioveni Hospital Penitentiary reported that Nicolae Duduianu died on Tuesday.

“In the Mioveni Hospital Penitentiary, the death of a person deprived of liberty was recorded. She was admitted to the prison unit – hospital since 11/02/2020, being known for multiple chronic medical conditions,” said the prison representatives.
Judicial sources assure that it is Nicolae Duduianu, leader of the Duduianu clan.

His death is not part of the current epidemiological context, but is associated with the medical history and advanced age of the person.
In accordance with the legal provisions, the next of kin, the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Pite Juti Court, informed the judge in charge of the deprivation of liberty.

Nicolae Duduianu was in prison when his son, Edi Pian, died in a conflict with the leader of another rival clan in early August. The family did not tell the elder about the son’s death, according to statements at the time.
