Edi Iordanescu arrived in Cluj and negotiates with CFR the possibility of assuming the position of head coach.

According to information from www.sport.ro, the former Gaz Metan Medias coach has already arrived in Cluj, where he is negotiating with CFR officials.
After several names circulated that could take over the Romanian champion, including Adrian Mutu or Razvan Lucescu, the Cluj board decided to sit at the negotiating table with Edi Iordanescu.
CFR Cluj will face TSKA Sofia in the Europa League groups on Thursday, and Marius Bilasco, head of the team’s scouting department, has a good chance of taking the bench in this match.
Another name that circulated for the CFR Cluj coaching position was that of Italian Fabio Pecchia, about whom Gazzetta dello Sport wrote that he was contacted by Gruia’s team.
It remains to be seen who will be the team’s new coach after Dan Petrescu’s departure, but so far Edi Iordanescu is the only one who has come to negotiate face-to-face with the CFR bosses.
