The Prime Minister claims that a total lockdown means the closure of all activities except essential ones, or Romania did not take such measures even during the state of emergency, when activities such as construction could be carried out.
“The Romanian economy cannot afford such a blockade, we must maintain a balance. People need work, they have to be active, they have to develop their professional life in conditions that are as close to normal (…) From a point of view economic, Romania cannot afford a lockdown. The closure means another economic recession and would jeopardize the trend of economic growth that we have for sure, “added Orban.
