Who was Viorel Turcu?
Viorel Turcu was a three-time Romanian champion, winning the championship, in order, along with FC Argeș (1979), Dinamo (1984) and Steaua (1987), also scoring seven appearances for the Romanian national team.
However, the life that followed his football career ended at the age of 32, in 1992, in Hungary, it was not generous at all. The former attacker was diagnosed with diabetes, a disease that caused him to lose both legs over time.
