Three guest houses in Moieciu de Sus, Brasov county, were engulfed in flames on Saturday night, and the intervention of firefighters in the event of this fire is very difficult.
The people who were staying in the respective pensions were evacuated. One of them suffered a panic attack and received the necessary medical attention, Luiza Dănilă, a spokeswoman for ISU Brașov, told Digi24.
The intervention of firefighters is much more difficult due to the fact that there are no hydrants in the area and there are no other sources of water supply nearby.
Firefighters are trying to stop the blaze, which broke out Saturday afternoon, so that it does not spread to other pensions. Three buildings have already been burned to the ground, the affected area is about 500 square meters.
The fire initially broke out in a building with a ground floor and an attic, then spread to the roof of two other neighboring houses.
5 fire extinguishers, 1 escalator, 1 SMURD ambulance operate to extinguish the fire. In support of the military firefighters, three fire extinguishers arrived from the volunteer services for emergency situations in Bran, Râșnov and Cristian.
