A DCNews reader warned us about the complaint he made about the action of the USR – PLUS campaign, carried out in the streets of Botosani. The notification was made to the Botoșani County Elections Office and came after young people with placards stood on various streets of the city sending election messages. The DCNews reader who filed the complaint notes that this form of campaigning is not among the ways in which electoral contestants can carry out their activities in the electoral campaign. BEJ Botoșani ruled in his favor, thus admitting his complaint registered on November 26, 2020. From the images presented in the notification, they found that the messages “refer directly and beyond a reasonable doubt to an electoral competitor, namely the USR-PLUS alliance, a situation in which they become electoral propaganda materials ”.
The decision taken, by majority, is to admit the notification made. BEJ Botoșani specifies, in Article 2 of the Decision: “It prohibits the use by the USR-PLUS Alliance – Botoșani County Organization, of some electoral propaganda media, such as those listed in the decision.
