How many deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours

Until Wednesday, 10,541 people diagnosed with SARS – CoV – 2 infection died.

Between the 24.11.2020 (10:00) and the 25.11.2020 (10:00) it was reported 168 deaths (99 men and 69 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița hospitals , Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Tulcea, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Ilfov.

Until this date, at Nacional level, have been processed 3,974,996 tests. Of these, 35,575 were performed in the last 24 hours, 22,524 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 13,051 upon request.

In Romania, 43,867 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 12,561 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 68,701 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 24 of this year, 6,831 penalties for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,263,365 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 2 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

Counties with the highest SARS-CoV-2 infection rate. Sibiu remains in first place

The city of Bucharest registers a decrease in the infection rate for SARS-CoV-2 to 6.55 per thousand inhabitants.

The county of Sibiu maintains an incidence of more than 8 per thousand inhabitants, according to the report sent this Tuesday by the Strategic Communication Group.

According to GCS, the first place in the country in terms of infection rate with the new coronavirus is the county of Sibiu with 8.47 per thousand inhabitants, down from Monday when it was 8.64.
