“Artists represent the heart of the cultural sector, and we want this to emerge from the current state aid regime. We are aware that those who work in this field have different needs and expectations. After the discussions that took place on Tuesday, in the Victoria Palace, the government representatives specify that “at this time the normative act of approval of the state aid regime for its improvement will be discussed with the potential beneficiaries. The most exact dimensioning of the impact financial and the establishment of the total number of eligible beneficiaries are fundamental conditions for the success of this scheme, in this sense we have extended the registration period of the cultural actors involved in the Cultural Sector Registry, as soon as we have the most accurate data to quantify the necessary financial effort, “We will launch the normative act that approves the scheme in public debate. All cultural operators will be invited to present their opinions so that the best solutions can be identified for the efficient use of funds in support of the entire sector and to mitigate the effects of the pandemic. “
Raluca Turcan proposed that the Government and Ministry of Culture teams meet daily with all representatives of artists, cultural workers, event technical companies, NGOs and event organizers to finalize the state aid scheme for the cultural sector.

The governors specify that “compensation for people who earn income exclusively from copyright and related rights, you can request monthly on the platform https://aici.gov.ro based on a copy of a copyright contract and related rights of the last 9 months before the start of the state of emergency. The state aid scheme for cultural support proposed by the Ministry of Culture will guarantee non-reimbursable funding for actors in one of the following cultural fields: performing arts (theater, music, dance), visual arts (painting, sculpture, film, photography ), heritage, book, audiovisual, cultural education, independent cultural sector. The maximum ceiling for each cultural project will be 800,000 euros / beneficiary.
