According to the ARGUMENT survey, an institute of the DCMedia Group, turnout in parliamentary elections will be low.
The ARGUMENT survey, an institute of the DCMedia Group, shows that 20% of Romanians certainly do not go to the polls, 10% say they probably will not. Surely 40% will go to the polls and 30% say they will probably go. Compared to August, the percentage of those who say they will go to the polls is down 10%.
Ion Mocioalcă, the politician who opens the PSD list for the Caraş-Severin Senate, spoke on this issue and said that he calls Romanians to vote. The danger posed by the perpetuation of NLP in government is much greater during the next four years than the danger posed by Covid-19 for the next few months, the politician said.
“We should all want a large turnout because that is how you legitimize yourself in front of the people. In these times, the numbers do not lie and we should all be very concerned about a small turnout, especially because we, on the left, have an electorate that you have to protect. The danger is greater if this electorate stays at home than if it goes to the polls.
If they take protective measures, they can go to the polls. With a small participation, we woke up with anomalies then in the Romanian Parliament. And then in the government … Imagine that parties without structures come to the territory to lead Romania in the next four years. They haven’t tried anything so far, they haven’t done anything.
I see danger in this. That is why I firmly say that it is very important that every citizen is aware of the danger that awaits them. The coronavirus can pass in six months, but with the NLP in power and other parties without structures in the territory and without real representation, we could suffer much more in the next four years than with the coronavirus in the next few months, ”said Ion Mocioalcă on DC News.
