At least that’s what the spynews.ro sources claim, announcing that some of Romania’s most active thieves were disrupted by DIICOT’s action directed against Alex Bodi. Basically, after “they were allowed to produce millions of pimps and protection fees for 12 years, the underworld members of Alex Bodi’s group suddenly found themselves cited in various files kept in the drawer, for unknown reasons.”
According to the cited source, “Bodi’s arrest revived the files kept in the drawer, and the gangsters began to be cited in files kept secret since 2015.” This situation became increasingly apparent after the thugs demanded the return of the seized property.
The effects of Alex Bodi’s arrest
“Then, suddenly, the gangsters who produced millions under the noses of the authorities began to be cited in files from five years ago, dismantled by automatic fire,” spynews.ro also shows. In this context, Alex Bodi is expected on Monday before the judges, in the case opened since 2015, which, “curiously, does not appear on the judicial portal.”
The ex-husband of the eternal Bianca Drăguşanu was hit at the most sensitive point once he entered the DIICOT sphere of action. Beyond the aspect related to his freedom, Alex Bodi demanded the lifting of the confiscation imposed on the assets he exhibited with the pretense of a real and especially honest businessman.
The octopus has been mining work for 12 years
We remind you that on November 13, Alex Bodi was arrested along with other criminals after DIICOT prosecutors revealed that the group had been trafficking people for more than 12 years. Many of those involved ignored one of the golden rules of a mafia organization, discretion, and did not hide, on the contrary.
Whenever they had the opportunity, they displayed their objects, clothes, cars, houses and luxury vacations, behind which were large sums of money. It is possible that this attitude had its importance in the investigation initiated by DIICOT along with other elements strictly related to the effects of human trafficking.
For example, the way Alex Bodi impressed on social media, along with Bianca Drăguşanu, had become commonplace on the social media landscape. When he received comments about the origin of his money, Alex Bodi used to respond to the critics and curious that they were “haters” and that they would take better care of their lives.
DIICOT press release content
You can find more details about how the mafia network worked in 12 years, directly from the press release sent by the DIICOT press office. It all started in 2008, when the brains of the operation were reunited in a place where they have a great chance of returning soon.
‘It has been established from existing data, in essence, that shortly after the dissolution of a group led by a prominent member of the underworld (a group specializing in human trafficking and pimping), the suspect in question (one of the aforementioned lieutenants), while they were detained in a prison, between 2008 and 2011, together with three other detainees, they used social networks to recruit young women who practiced prostitution and, deceiving them, either with the promise of a common future (loverboy method), or with the identification of an advantageous job, respectively taking advantage of their state of vulnerability (precarious economic situation, naivety, lack of education, determining factors for these young women to choose to engage in prostitution), convinced them to prostitute themselves in their benefit. .
Under the coordination of the leader, the foundations were laid for a criminal group specialized mainly in human trafficking, child trafficking and pimping and secondarily in blackmail (as a consequence of the payment of protection fees). Shortly after leaving the prison, 12 other suspects joined the criminal group, with which they recruited other victims, transported them and housed them in western states (Germany, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Switzerland), and forced them to practice prostitution in his favor in various clubs.
The victims who, after being transported abroad, refused to engage in prostitution were kidnapped and subjected to extreme violence (including rape), so that they would decide not to resist. In most cases, the victims were kept in buildings rented by the group’s leader, transported daily to places where they were forced to engage in prostitution, were permanently controlled / supervised and the money was taken entirely by members of the group.
After the investigation, it was established that the young women were exploited mainly in discotheques or rented premises in Germany, within the cities of Berlin, Bonn, Stuttgart and Frankfurt (Germany), but also in other European countries (Italy, Spain). , Great Britain, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria). Some of the victims were sold to other traffickers for the purpose of exploitation, the people who took them also received information about the victim, his behavior during the period of exploitation, information about the family, all in order to be blackmailed in order to be exploited and controlled more easily.
There were also situations in which the perpetrators failed to have control over the victims, even after the application of physical corrections, in which case to prevent them from fleeing or returning to their homes in the country, they requested various amounts. of money that the victims did not have the opportunity to pay, for which they were forced to continue the prostitution activity. A large part of the sums of money thus obtained by the members of the group went to their leader, who later invested them in various properties in the country and abroad.
The leader of the group used to collect protection fees from victims for legal / illegal activities, and his lieutenants used to resort to blackmail to collect them. Taxes were collected at parties organized by him. At the DIICOT headquarters – Territorial Service of Craiova, a number of 18 people will be brought to the audience, ”says DIICOT.
