Now, the police are investigating this situation and the doctors from Târgu Mureș could be accused of malpractice, because they administered very strong drugs against Covid-19, although the test was negative.

Father Ghelasie was born on May 27, 1962 in Măgheruş, Nadeş (Mureş) commune, as the sixth of eight children in a family with great faith in God. Father Ghelasie entered monasticism at the Sâmbăta de Sus monastery. He attended courses at the Sibiu Faculty of Theology.

For four years, he was abbot of the Monastery of Lupşa (Alba). Later, together with five monks, he laid the foundations of the monastery of the Holy Great Martyr Dimitrie in Sighisoara.

Abbot Ghelasie received the Patriarchal Cross, the highest distinction awarded in the Romanian Patriarchate.

Elder Ghelasie Țepeș was one of those who had the happiness of meeting Father Arsenie Boca while he was still alive. Countless times she spoke of the encounter with him and the strong impression Saint Transilvania left on her.
