Serious accident on the DN 67, in the town of Scoarţa, town of Câmpu Mare. Two men, aged 35 and 22, respectively, died and a young woman was seriously injured, reported representatives of the Gorj County Police Inspectorate (IPJ).
According to the cited sources, the first investigations carried out by the police at the scene revealed that, while a 22-year-old man from Târgu Jiu was driving a car, from the direction of Târgu Jiu to Vâlcea, he entered the opposite direction, colliding with another car driven by a 35-year-old man from Târgu Cărbuneşti.
“The impact between the two vehicles caused the death of the two drivers and the injury of a 19-year-old girl from the Scoarţa commune, who was in the first car. In the case, a criminal file was drawn up for bodily injury and culpable homicide ”, specified the representatives of the IPJ Gorj.
The spokesperson for the Gorj Emergency Situations Inspection, Florin Chisim, stated shortly after the accident that two trucks for their release and a SMURD team from the Târgu-Jiu Fire Brigade intervened at the scene, as well as two teams from inside of the Gorj County Ambulance Service.
“Recently, we were asked to intervene to manage an emergency situation generated by a serious traffic accident in Scoarţa, Câmpu Mare village, in which two vehicles were involved. Two special vehicles for their release and a SMURD team from the Târgu-Jiu Fire Brigade went to the scene, as well as two teams from the Gorj County Ambulance Service, who found that, as a result of the impact, there were three victims. One of the victims showed no vital signs. Despite the efforts of the intervention teams, the doctor who arrived at the scene declared death. The other two victims (a man and a woman – ed.) Suffered multiple injuries and were transferred to the Emergency Reception Unit of the Târgu Jiu hospital, “said Florin Chisim. However, the man died in hospital.
