A quarantine will be established in Lugoj as of Saturday, starting at 00:00. The measure is required for a period of 14 days.
Taking into account that in the last 14 days the contagion rate in Lugoj is increasing, reaching 7.05 per thousand inhabitants on Friday, the head of the Department of Emergency Situations issued on 11/20/2020 the quarantine order for the area.
After the National Institute of Public Health gave a favorable opinion to the quarantine of the municipality of Lugoj, on Friday the prefect Liliana Oneţ called the meeting of the CJSU, during which the quarantine of the municipality of Lugoj was voted.
“After the risk analysis, based on the Decision of the Provincial Committee for Emergency Situations issued at the proposal of the Timiș County Public Health Directorate, taking into account the epidemiological evaluation approved by the National Institute of Public Health, the chief of the Department of Emergency Situations issued on November 20, 2020, the zonal quarantine order, for 14 days, for the municipality of Lugoj, Timiș region. The quarantine will take effect as of tonight, November 21, 2020, at 00:00, “the statement read.
