People who bought Mini Cheesburgers from the Carrefour network are told not to consume these products, but to destroy them or take them to the stores where they bought them, according to ANSVSA.

In these products it was detected presence of ethylene oxide contaminant in certain batches of sesame seeds, used as an ingredient in the manufacture of the product, informs the National Veterinary Health Authority and Food Safety (ANSVSA).

A European alert has been sent to this effect.

According to the cited source, Ethylene oxide can present a potential health risk with repeated long-term consumption.

The retailer advises people who have purchased these products not to consume them, but to destroy them or return them to the stores where they were purchased.

The equivalent value of the products will be returned, without the need to present the tax receipt, mentioned in the information sent to consumers and published on November 10 on the ANSVSA website. It is active until November 23, 2020.
