Adrian Cordoş, the liberal mayor of the Sarmizegetusa commune, lost today the fight with the virus that plagued us. A deaf and unjust struggle, whose victim falls an exceptional colleague, a mayor loved by the community, a good man. The killer virus does not make the difference between us, between the parties to which we belong, between the social status we have and a loved man can kidnap us at any time, although some would like to divide us, divide us into camps and destroy us, Let’s unite, let’s fight all, not with weapons, not in front, but taking care of each other, wearing masks and respecting the restrictions imposed. We are with the grieving family and we pray that God forgive him and rest him with the righteous in our good colleague Adrian Cordoş! “Vetuţa Stănescu, president of PNL Hunedoara county branch, said in a message posted on the organization’s Facebook page.
Adrian Cordoş became mayor of the Sarmizegetusa commune in 2016, after being deputy mayor of this settlement in Hunedoara county for 12 years, and in the September elections he won a new term.
