The patient had initially been hospitalized in Orăştie hospital, in a very serious condition, and after four days the illness worsened even more and he was transferred to UPU Deva on Wednesday night.

“Since he was hospitalized in the Orăştie hospital, his condition was very serious. He stayed there for four days, after which his condition worsened. He was taken to Deva, to the Emergency Department. The emergency doctor tried to intubate him twice, but without her consent she has no right, as long as she is conscious, ”said DSP representative Hunedoara.

After the MRI, the doctors found that the 67-year-old man’s lungs functioned only 1%. The oxygen saturation had reached 33, a level that showed her lungs were no longer working, the spokeswoman explained.

The man was diagnosed with COVID-19 in early November and after his health deteriorated, the family made a public call for a vacancy at ATI, but the patient died Thursday at Deva hospital, according to a posted announcement. by her daughter on her personal Facebook page.

The man had been waiting for a vacancy at ATI for several days and the family tried to help him by calling various hospitals in the country, hoping to find a vacancy in an Intensive Care Unit.

All places in the ATI departments of Hunedoara County Hospitals are occupied by COVID-19 patients who are in a severe stage of the disease.
