The Prahova City Council approved, this Friday, the reduction, as of January 1, 2021, of 101 positions in the county administration’s own apparatus, reports Mediafax.
According to a statement from the Prahova City Council, as of January 1, 2021, the institution will have, in its own apparatus, a number of 146 positions, compared to the current 247.
The county councilors approved on Friday the proposal of the president of the Prahova City Council, Iulian Dumitrescu, on the reorganization and establishment of the number of positions for the specialized apparatus and the approval of the organization chart, the list of positions and its regulations of organization and operation.
The positions in the new organization chart will be filled in accordance with the legal provisions, based on the competence, shown in the statement.
The restructuring will lead to an economy in the budget of the institution planned for the years 2021-2024 in the amount of approximately 48 million lei.
Prahova County Council President Iulian Dumitrescu announced the abolition of two County Council directorates, for a total of 164 more seats, and the evaluation of the other structures and institutions of the county’s public administration.
“The restructuring aims at efficient management of limited financial resources and reduction of personnel costs, as well as improving and streamlining the functionality of the specialized apparatus of the Prahova County Council by applying the principles of meritocracy and accountability.” said the law initiated by Iulian Dumitrescu.
