According to the institution, there were also significant increases in the collection of special transport authorizations (AST), from almost 1.7 million lei in May-September 2019 to more than 2.5 million lei in May-September 2020.
Likewise, more than 4,400,000 lei were collected from the roviniete sales activity during 2020.
“At the same time, the number of complaints (fines) issued at the busiest customs point in the western area has increased. These fines are applied, for example, to evade a specific control at the border. The analysis of DRDP Timişoara showed that, in the period from May to September 2019, fines amounting to 73,500 lei were recorded, and in the similar period of 2020 the value was more than 360,000 lei ”, DRDP Timişoara also shows.
According to a press release sent to the press, CNAIR’s subordinate Directorate ordered a series of measures to streamline activity and increase revenue, as follows:
– reorganization of staff at work points, restricting access to charging points for people who are the subject of some disciplinary investigations;
– permanent supervision of the work points;
– periodic verification of the documents attached to the electronic rate request, related to the vehicles subject to additional rates
– compare the identification data with the data registered by the border police
– inform the competent bodies about certain aspects of the commission of possible criminal offenses
– mobilization of traffic controllers for the registration and data processing of these vehicles, which resulted in a number of 70,000 additional vehicles controlled and registered, compared to May-September 2019;
– unannounced checks at ACI Nădlac point 2, even at night
