To date, 8,510 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

  • Between 11.11.2020 (10:00) and 12.11.2020 (10:00) it was reported 121 deaths (77 men and 44 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Brăila, Braşov, Călăraşi, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Galaţi, Gorj, Harghita , Iaşi, Maramureş, Mureş, Neamţ, Olt, Prahova, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiş, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, there was one death in the age category 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 10 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 37 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 37 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 31 deaths in the category over 80 years.

117 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and of 3 deceased patients, so far no comorbidities have been reported.

  • In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,852. Of these, 1,152 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,593,720 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 35,762 tests were performed in the last 24 hours, 20,855 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 14,907 on request.

In Romania, 44,243 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are isolated in their homes and 13,013 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 81,163 people are in home quarantine and 19 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 4,566 calls have been registered to the single emergency number 112 and 816 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, on November 11 of this year, the police and gendarmes applied 8,861 penalties for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,418,356 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 8 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects.

The situation of Romanian citizens in other states

6,862 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the UK, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the United States, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal, and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed as infected by the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

On Wednesday, Romania broke a new record in the COVID-19 pandemic, after being reported the day before. 177 deaths of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. In Wednesday’s report they were confirmed 9,799 new cases and 203 deaths.

Since Monday, new measures have been put in place, including moving schools online for 30 days, wearing a mask in public spaces, and completing a self-declaration to leave home at night.

  • There was 1 death in the age group 20-29 years.
  • 3 deaths in the age category 30-39 years
  • 5 deaths in the age group 40-49 years
  • 31 deaths in the age group 50-59 years
  • 48 deaths in the age group 60-69 years
  • 57 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years
  • 58 deaths in the category of over 80 years

196 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 5 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and of 2 deceased patients so far no comorbidities have been reported.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,687. Of these, 1,092 are hospitalized in ATI.
