Although according to the first information provided by the researchers, the children were protected from the coronavirus, the truth is completely different. According to the cited source, since the beginning of the pandemic and until now, 6,081 children up to 9 years old and 13,132 between 10 and 19 years old have been infected with the new coronavirus.

To date, three deaths have been reported in children up to the age of 9 and two in the 10-19 age group.

Monday generally brought fewer cases due to less testing over the weekend. However, there were no fewer than 3,240 new cases.

To date, on November 9, in Romania, 306,991 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed, after 6,752 were registered in 24 hours yesterday, November 8.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 3,240 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test. The county breakdown of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

* Regarding the “new cases not assigned by regions”, we specify that their number is determined by the changes introduced in the electronic platform through which the results of the tests for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, and the epidemiological investigation will be carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and positive cases will be assigned to the region / locality to which the infected people.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest.
