A well-known rapper, King Von, was killed in a shooting, in which four other people were shot. Some of them were shot by police officers who intervened to calm things down. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the shooting broke out after a fight between several very violent individuals and ended after those involved saw the rapper fall unconscious to the ground after being shot. King Von was transferred to a nearby hospital, but could not survive, as his injuries were very serious.

Rapper King Von was born in Chicago on August 9, 1994 and spent most of his life in a residential complex in Parkway Gardens, also known as “O’Block”, in the southern part of the city. He grew up with rapper Lil Durk and Chief Keef, all from Parkway Gardens.
At age 16, Von went to jail for the first time, and in 2014 he was charged with shooting and killing one person and wounding another. After proving his innocence, King Von began singing, collaborating with Lil Durk. In June 2019, King Von and Lil Durk were arrested in connection with an altercation in Atlanta. Von defended Durk and the two rappers appeared before a judge for a hearing. Prosecutors claimed the two men robbed and shot a man in front of a popular drive-in movie theater in Atlanta on February 5, 2019. The trial was ongoing on the date King Von was shot and killed in Atlanta.
King Von, 26, had just released a new album.
