The lie in the CV of the new mayor of Brasov. “How do you say you graduated when you were expelled?”

Two Bucharest university professors, Ciprian Dobre, who is vice-dean of the Faculty of Automation and Informatics, respectively Traian Rebedea, of the Bucharest Polytechnic University, accuse the new mayor of Brasov of falsifying his CV, writes Newsbv.ro. Information about Coliban’s CV also appears on Wikipedia, and the mayor later admitted that he “edited” his information.

“Alas for Romania without a thief, because it is a thief to lie that you have a diploma. Sir. Coliban, for almost 20 years he lied saying that he was an A&C graduate. Now quickly erase the traces. I wonder if a man who has been lying For more than 17 years he is a new man who will bring a real change in Romania. Is he still a complete man or frustrated if he had to lie for so long? You realize that perhaps now all his relatives and acquaintances find out the truth Traian Rebedea wrote on Facebook.

Following the controversy, Coliban changed its statement stating that it did not have a license.

“He lied to be voted and made false statements in official statements on senat.ro.” I hope that the Prosecutor’s Office will also be notified, to check if it is not a criminal act. I really don’t think all politicians are thieves or corrupt. This mentality of ours that everyone is a thief everywhere is very bad. That’s what plagiarists say, and those who do their redemption work, it’s very easy to justify anything by saying “everyone does this,” Rebedea commented on Facebook.

Vice dean says Allen Coliban has been expelled

The vice dean of the Faculty of Automation and Computing, Ciprian Dobre, also confirms the information published about the mayor of the USR. He specified that the new mayor of Brasov not only did not graduate, with or without a license, but was also expelled.

“I don’t know him and I have nothing to do with him. But, how can you say that you are a graduate of the UPB’s Faculty of Automation and Computing, but, in fact, imagine that you were expelled and did not take your license? Dobre asked rhetorically. Asked by “Adevărul” about Allen Coliban’s situation, the vice dean made some clarifications.

“Mr. Allen Coliban began his studies in 1998, interrupted them several times, and in 2009, in his fifth year of university, he was finally expelled with the UPB’s decision no. 177 of 19.03.2009, because in the end he did not pass several disciplines. He did not ask to recover after 2005. The UBP encourages students and does not expel them immediately, because it is based on the idea that they can still study again. It’s just that, in the case of Mr. Coliban, from 2005 to 2009 he didn’t show any signs, “explained Dobre for” Adevărul “.

Coliban admits it “edited” the information

The mayor of Brasov tried to explain the situation on the colibanprimar.ro website and admits that he subsequently edited the information.

“I edited the description in the CV, so that the part related to the license is clear and I regret not having clarified it before. Yes, I dropped my bachelor’s degree in 2005, after finishing my fifth year of college. With my mind now, I could make another decision, but at the age of 20 or so, in the context of that time, it was the decision that I reconciled with. I was lucky that, from a professional point of view, only the results I obtained always mattered, not the diploma, IT being a field full of these types of examples ”, explains Coliban.

His CV was modified on both the Senate website and the USR website, where it is now clearly indicated that he is not licensed at the Faculty of Automation and Computing.
