To establish the duels, the 16 teams from League 1 and the fourth round qualified teams, another 20 groups, were divided into two value urns, based on successful performance in the previous edition of the Romanian Cup.
The draw for the sixteenth round of the Romanian Cup takes place on Monday
In urn A are the teams that played at least the round of 16 last year in the Romanian Cup, so that, since the sixteenth of this edition, we can have “strong” duels, such as FCSB – CFR Cluj, Dinamo – Viitorul or Universitatea Craiova – CFR Cluj. In addition, this phase of the competition could offer for the first time the duel of the two teams of Bănie.

The 12 teams from the first ballot box will be grouped with the same number of teams from the second group, and the eight teams remaining in ballot B will play against each other.
The matches of the sixteenth round of the Romanian Cup will be played from November 28, the full schedule will be established after the draw of the matches.
If a team will not be able to play their match on the date initially set, due to the COVID-19 infection of the players, they will lose the match 0-3, with the Romanian Cup matches not having the possibility of postponement.
