According to the data communicated by the General Directorate of Gendarmes of Bucharest, the dialogue teams of the Capital Gendarmerie spoke with the organizers and the people present in order to inform them about the legal provisions and the measures that will be taken in case of non-compliance.

“In accordance with current legal provisions, during the state of alert the organization and holding of rallies, demonstrations or any other meeting with the participation of a maximum of 100 people is allowed. At the same time, a person who was caught using a drone in Victoriei Square was punished for minor offenses.

The protest in Victoriei Square refers to the new measures and restrictions announced by the Executive to combat the spread of COVID-19. The protesters do not agree so much with the obligation to wear a protective mask as with other measures, such as traffic restrictions and closing of markets.
