Georgia, the state where Joe Biden and Donald Trump are almost equal, with a difference of just over 1,500 votes in favor of Joe Biden, will count all the votes, according to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
“The race in Georgia is still too close. Since the gap is so small, we will have a recount in Georgia,” announced Brad Raffensperger, reports Agerpres.
Joe Biden leads Georgia by a margin of just over 1,500 after 99% of the votes are counted. In addition to Georgia, which is absolutely essential for Trump, Biden also leads in Pennsylvania, Nevada and Arizona. If he also wins these states, the Democratic candidate will obtain more than 270 votes in the Electoral College and will win the elections.
According to a Georgia election official, Gabriel Sterling, cited by the DPA, the state may not be able to validate the results of the presidential elections until the end of November. He added that he still does not see signs of major or widespread fraud, contrary to Donald Trump’s claims, but assured that officials were vigilant, given the small difference between the two candidates.
