Nationwide night traffic restrictions will apply and a self-declaration will be required for permitted trips. The clarifications were made by Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, who added that the time interval in which traffic will be restricted is currently being discussed, being the variants 22.00-05.00 and 23.00-06.00.
The head of government specified that Romanians can travel during this time only for certain purposes, such as work, medical assistance or pharmacy.
In fact, pharmacies and gas stations are among the units that will remain open from 9:00 p.m.
“We will return to this system, it will be a statement on our own responsibility,” Orban told Digi 24, when asked if those documents would be necessary as they were during the emergency.
The prime minister specified that the agri-food markets that operate in closed spaces will be closed.
The new restrictions will run for 30 days, the prime minister said.
