This is an emergency meeting at the Victoria Palace, on the day of an alarming record of SARS-CoV-2 infections in Romania.
UPDATE: Digi24 transmits, according to sources, that the decision would be made that in all of Romania the mask would be mandatory in public, closed and open spaces, regardless of the incidence. Measures being considered include restricting traffic at night.
The meeting at the Victoria Palace was attended by Health Minister Nelu Tătaru, Interior Minister Marcel Vela, DSU chief Raed Arafat, according to Digi24.
The emergency meeting was called by Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, and the topic of discussion is the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today, no less than 8,651 new cases of infection have been reported in Romania. In Bucharest, there are more than 1,500 new cases in just 24 hours.
Doctors warn that we will come to disaster medicine, where they will choose who dies and who lives, although the measures that could have been taken before reaching that critical point have not been exhausted.
