VIDEO A worker accused of cutting up a police officer was, in fact, a victim. The cop hit him

The images captured by a surveillance camera show that a Lugoj worker, who allegedly attacked a policeman who told him that he was not wearing a mask, is actually a victim, the aggressor being the policeman himself.

From the images published by lugojinfo.ro it can be seen that several workers are working on a breakdown in the water network on Timisoara Street in Lugoj. At one point, a team of police stops in front of the workers. The policeman on the right says something to a worker who appears to have a knife in his hand with which he is sharpening a piece of wood, and soon the police car pulls up alongside the workers.

In the images you can see how the policeman attacks the worker by punching him several times in the stomach. The man is then dragged into the police car, and the police officer and his colleague load the worker into the car. The footage shows the policeman shaking his left hand, as if shaking it because it was injured and bleeding.

Regarding the video images, on the mode of action of a Lugoj policeman, we specify that the fact is in the attention of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Lugoj Court, in order to carry out the investigations according to the powers. Likewise, the leadership of the LEI Timiş ordered the carrying out of verifications, through the Office of Internal Control, to analyze the intervention of the police. Depending on the outcome of the verifications, the measures will be ordered accordingly, “transmitted LEI Timiş.
