At its meeting today, November 2, the National Committee for Emergency Situations adopted Decision number 51. This Decision updated the list of states and areas of high epidemiological risk and proposed changing the value of the cumulative incidence rate of cases in the last 14 days from which it is mandatory to wear a mask in all open public spaces, in the sense of reducing it from 3 to 1.5 / 1,000 inhabitants.
Therefore, CNSU proposes that the use of a protective mask be mandatory in all localities of the counties where the incidence exceeds 1.5 / 1,000 inhabitants, and in the counties where the incidence rate is less than 1.5, the Wearing a mask is mandatory at the level of localities where the incidence exceeds 1.5 / 1,000 inhabitants. CNSU Decision number 51 of November 2, 2020 and the list of states and areas of high epidemiological risk are attached.
Prime Minister Ludovic Orban had announced that CNSU will discuss such a proposal at the meeting on Monday night.
“We will propose the introduction of the use of mask in open spaces in all counties, there is no differentiation by locality, but we will simply introduce the obligation to wear a mask in counties that exceed the contagion rate of 1.5 per thousand,” said Ludovic Orban.
