In the last 24 hours, 4,041 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, of the 10,566 tests carried out. The positive rate is 38.2%. Another 86 Romanians died due to the coronavirus infection. 916 COVID patients are admitted to intensive care.

To date, on November 2, in Romania, 250,704 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

177,361 patients were declared cured.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 4,041 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Aside from the newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 820 people were positively reconfirmed.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest.

To date, 7,153 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 01.11.2020 (10:00) – 02.11.2020 (10:00) 86 deaths were reported (48 men and 38 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dolj, Gorj, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timi, Tuli Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 29 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 33 deaths in the age category of age from 70 to 79 years and 19 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

80 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 3 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,702. Of these, 916 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,274,870 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 10,566 were performed in the last 24 hours, 7,089 based on case definition and medical protocol and 3,477 upon request.

In Romania, 30,083 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 11,114 people are institutionally isolated. Additionally, 55,963 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,899 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 7,844 sanctions for minor offenses, worth 1,511,400 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, 11 crimes were found yesterday to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,852 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 159 in the Kingdom United, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar , Vatican and Portugal.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Among Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
