Coronavirus Romania, October 31. On Romanian territory, they were confirmed 241,339 cases of infected people with the new coronavirus (COVID-19). 172,513 patients were declared cured.

Saturday, the authorities reported 5,753 of new cases.

Friday there was a new all-time record for the number of new cases, with authorities reporting 6,546 of infections.

To date, 6,968 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 30.10.2020 (10:00) and 31.10.2020 (10:00) it was reported 101 deaths (63 men and 38 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dolj, Galați, Gorj , Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 20 to 29 years, 4 deaths were recorded in the category 40 to 49 years, 10 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 22 deaths in the category of age 60-69 years, 33 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 31 deaths in the category over 80 years.

92 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, and so far no comorbidities of 9 deceased patients have been reported.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,254. Of these, 923 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,242,748 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,181 were performed in the last 24 hours, 20,708 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 15,473 upon request.

In Romania, 28,797 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 10,860 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 54,373 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 2,957 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 857 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 6,286 sanctions for minor infractions, worth 942,740 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 8 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.
