Coronavirus Romania, October 30. In Romania, 235,586 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) were confirmed.

The balance of the last 24 hours indicates a new record of new cases: 6,546, after a new absolute record of the number of new cases was recorded on Thursday, the authorities reported 6,481 infections.

As of Friday, October 30, in Romania, 235,586 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) were confirmed.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 6,546 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 3 deaths were recorded in the category 40 to 49 years, 13 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 30 deaths in the category of age 60-69 years, 30 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 26 deaths in the category over 80 years.

100 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities.

Hospitalized patients in ATI

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,236. Of these, 917 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,206,567 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,335 were performed in the last 24 hours, 22,342 based on the case definition and medical protocol, and 13,993 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 254 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until October 30 have been reported.

In Romania, 28,762 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,253 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 53,050 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmerie applied, in the last 24 hours, 6,939 sanctions for contravention, worth 952,435 lei.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed as infected by the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

A second county exceeded the Covid-19 infection rate by 4 per thousand inhabitants

A second county in the country surpassed a contagion rate of 4 per 1,000 residents on Thursday after Cluj County reached this threshold on Wednesday.

According to the balance announced on Thursday by the Strategic Communication Group, the county of Sălaj registered a cumulative incidence of Covid-19 cases of 4.11 per thousand inhabitants.
