Ilie Năstase received in 1972 a beautiful villa located in the exclusive Primăverii neighborhood. It was the communist state’s way of rewarding the tennis player for his special sporting merits. He renovated it to his liking and furnished it in a luxurious style, living here for the next almost five decades with the five wives he had.
However, the house didn’t just bring beautiful things into Ilie Năstase’s life. For one thing, their marriages didn’t last, and Ioana Simion, the tennis player’s last wife, was so overwhelmed by the legacy of all the relationships Nastase had that she decided to leave home and move to an apartment in Pipera. Besides these failed relationships, Nastase also suffered other unpleasant things in the spring village. At the beginning of 2019, someone destroyed his fence, the tennis player then said that this is not the first time this has happened.
Consequently, Ilie Nastase decided that the villa was really a source of all sorts of misfortunes and decided to sell it, despite the expectations of friends who believed that the villa would be inherited by his two daughters from his marriage to Amalia. Secretly, in November 2019, Elijah sold his gift received from the communist regime.
