Nelu Tătaru paid a visit to Constanța on Thursday to assess the epidemiological situation in the county, but also the treatment and testing capacity regarding the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection in the area.
According to the Minister of Health, another difficult period of possible increase in the number of new cases is coming.
“We have three or four difficult weeks to stabilize ourselves. Let us all participate in reducing the number of cases,” said the minister in Constanza.
“Every new case can cause an outbreak,” said Nelu Tataru, who said that no nationwide quarantine is required.
“Restrictions will be taken at the local level, quarantine is not required at the national level,” said Nelu Tataru, when asked by journalists what other measures the Government is preparing to stop the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tataru specified that there will be an ATI extension of 14 beds in the County Hospital, 12 beds in the Pneumoftiziology Hospital and 7 beds in the Mangalia Hospital.
Nelu Tătaru also spoke with the local authorities, with the heads of the health units and with the medical staff in Constan ,a, and will then also travel to Mangalia, according to information provided by the Ministry of Health.
